As the son of a professor and school teacher, Dr. Ostric has a passion for teaching that literally runs in his blood. This is the essence of what it means to be a doctor, as the Latin root of the word doctor actually means teacher.

Throughout his professional career, as well as in his personal life, Dr. Ostric has striven to achieve excellence through the philosophy of continual learning, which also means a commitment to continual teaching which he does in a variety of different ways.

He has published many peer-reviewed articles on many topics related to hand surgery and plastic surgery. Likewise, he is an avid writer, maintaining several blogs on several different topics which he is passionate about. These range from music to health care policy and politics, plastic surgery and nutrition, and of course, the treatment of hand conditions.

He also gives many lectures in the community to help patients become better educated in the information age. And he believes that the essence of achieving both health and prosperity in life all has to do with getting the right information, both theoretical and practical, to help guide your decision making processes, so you can can make choices that ultimately lead to all-around wellness.
